Frequently Asked Questions
We’ll be celebrating all week long, and dress codes will vary slightly by event! For the rehearsal dinner, we suggest semi-formal attire, and for the wedding ceremony and reception, formal attire. For the rest of the week, please wear whatever feels comfortable—keeping in mind that it will likely be hot.
Feel free to check out our inspo board for ideas on color palette and overall vibe. Festive, over-the-top, and fun outfits are highly encouraged! There’s no pressure to follow traditional dress-code “rules” (ties, heels, etc.). Our biggest wish is that everyone feels great, has fun, and looks fun.
If you’d like to lean into the dress-up spirit, here’s a bit more guidance by day:
Monday Dinner – The most festive night!
Colorful, playful cocktail attire. Think short or tea-length dresses, or a skirt or nice pants with a blouse, paired with sandals or low heels for women. For men, a collared shirt with khakis or dress pants—no tie or jacket needed.
Tuesday (All Day)
Casual summer clothing. Bring a bathing suit!
Wednesday Rehearsal Dinner
A step up in dressiness. Colorful short, tea-length, or long dresses with sandals or heels for women. For men, casual summer suits—jacket and tie optional.
Thursday Ceremony & Reception
Formal attire in light colors and pastels. Long dresses with sandals or heels for women. Full suits or tuxedos for men (any color welcome).
Most importantly: wear what makes you feel comfortable, confident, and ready to celebrate with us! 💛
The South-West of France will be hot during the wedding week, with highs of up to 95 degrees F / 35 degrees C. Please hydrate throughout the week and bring lightweight clothing, sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat! The chateau itself is air conditioned, and the pool will be open to all guests throughout the week.
All dinners will be lovingly organized by Mimi and Artur. For breakfast, lunch, and snacks, we will make sure the chateau is fully stocked with groceries for all our guests to pop in and throw together a sandwich, grab a croissant, or whip up some porridge (including those who may be staying somewhere else!). For anything else guests may need, there is a small village less than a fifteen minute walk away from the chateau - complete with a grocery store, boulangerie, pharmacy, patisserie, restaurant, and other basic necessities. Alcohol apart from the wedding night itself will be BYOB - available in the local town.
Ride app services like Uber and Bolt are available in the area, as well as local taxis. If you want, there are car rental services available in nearby Bordeaux, and the chateau can accommodate guests who wish to park there. For any activities on the itinerary, Mimi and Artur will organize group transportation.
