ABOUT THE REGION

Le Château Sentout
Château Sentout is a remarkable estate with a heritage that stretches back to at least 1650, when it was owned by Monsieur Jean de Sentout. Over the centuries, it has passed through the hands of distinguished individuals, including Monsieur Jean Letellier, a ship-chandler to the navy, and Monsieur Eugène Fichot, a renowned hydrographical engineer and member of the French Academy of Sciences who is credited with charting the Indo-Chinese coastline. For years, Château Sentout produced wine, with its final official harvest taking place in 1972.
Since then, the château has undergone a meticulous restoration, lovingly returning it to its former grandeur. The restoration has preserved its architectural splendor, while its blend of Genoese, Tuscan, Spanish, and Moorish styles continues to exude timeless elegance and charm.
